The divorce process can be complicated, stressful, and time-consuming, but it doesn’t have to be.

A One-Day-Divorce session is just what it sounds like, a best-efforts professional approach to obtaining a quick divorce that only takes a day to document.

The One-Day-Divorce session includes:

• Preparation and exchange of required disclosure documents between the parties

• Review of required forms with Mr. Hughes

• Mediation Session with Mr. Hughes focused on the resolution of all issues fairly and reasonably. Because any agreement must be known and voluntary, not all parties will be able to agree. While full agreement is the objective, the parties may decide to reach only a partial agreement or may agree to disagree.  Mr. Hughes will always make a diligent effort to assist the parties in reaching an agreement.

• Preparation and explanation of a suitable written document: 1) Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA), assuming full agreement of the parties; Or 2) stipulation regarding the topics on which the parties agreed.

The One-Day-Divorce can conclude with all required documents filed with the court. There is no need for tedious back and forth.

Cost

The One-Day-Divorce is charged at a flat fee of $3,500 per spouse. The flat fee covers up to 6 hours of face-to-face attorney and staff services, and up 4 hours of additional attorney and staff office services, all on a best-efforts basis. The services of a dedicated legal assistant (i.e. document guru) are included.

Obviously, this approach is not a good match for all, or even most, divorcing parties. For the couple who can work together, this can prove to be a roll of the dice that brings significant rewards.
